Michael McDonough
Vice President, Axiom Builders
Mike has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. As a key member of the executive team, he has been responsible for developing, implementing and achieving strategic plans to foster growth and gain market presence for Axiom Builders. With impeccable leadership skills, Mike has been an agent in expanding Axiom’s network of business nationally and securing some of Canada’s most coveted projects. Educated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Diploma in Construction Economics, Mike started in construction as an Estimator, where he developed a good understanding of cost management and budgeting. He then moved into Project Management in the construction of multilevel concrete residential and commercial construction for various general contracting firms. Looking to increase his knowledge in the industry, Mike began working with Bosa Properties in 2005 as the Vice President of Construction, where he developed construction controls for tracking metrics for good efficient design. In 2007, Mike focused his energy with Axiom Builders having the responsibility of growing Axiom’s General Contracting portfolio. To date Mike has been involved in over one hundred residential high-rise towers. As Vice President, Mike brings a practical and detail driven approach to construction.
Mike Maierle
Principal, ETRO Construction
With a commitment to do things differently and disrupt the construction industry, Mike Maierle founded ETRO Construction; a general contracting and construction management company out of Burnaby, BC. Mike grew his career at Ledcor, leading pre-construction and construction on several large-scale, international, landmark projects totaling upwards of $900 Million. After 15 years at Ledcor, Mike took a massive leap in pursuit of a huge dream, and left his promising career to found ETRO. As the Principal of ETRO, Mike's vision for creating something new in the industry goes beyond leading through innovation and technology, and busts into the future with a BHAG of creating a people-centric AI that makes beautiful attainable by 2030. ETRO is in pursuit of creating a sustainable future for the building industry; seeking innovative ways to build that amplify efficiency, minimize waste, and create an expansive positive impact on all the stakeholders any ETRO project touches all in an effort to serve the company’s purpose: People First.
Allan Beron
President, Urban One Builders
Allan Beron has over 25 years of business experience, including 15 years as senior executive in the construction industry; Allan is a Chartered Accountant (CA), a CFA Charter holder (CFA) and he has an MBA from The Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto. Allan's entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to deliver a new standard in construction led to the creation of Urban One Builders in 2011. The young company quickly established itself as a leader in the construction industry with ground-breaking projects like Trump International Hotel and Tower, a 63-storey twisting skyscraper in downtown Vancouver, and TallWood House (UBC Brock Commons), the tallest mass timber tower in the world at the time of completion in 2017. Today, Urban One’s job sites can be found across greater Vancouver and the first phase of a large, mixed-use development in Calgary’s East Village was recently completed. Allan continually finds innovative ways of managing people and projects, and he remains focused on developing leading edge systems and processes for large-scale, mixed-use developments. He is known for strong relationships with all stakeholders in the construction value chain and for his accessibility to clients and employees. Allan has earned his reputation for delivering results and operating with the highest level of ethics and integrity.
Jas Saraw
Vice President of Canada, Procore
Jas Saraw is the Vice President of Canada at Procore where he is responsible for all Canadian revenue and customer-facing teams that reside in the Canadian offices, including Business Development, Customer Success, Sales and Marketing. Jas joined Procore in 2017 and has over 18 years of technology leadership experience specializing in SaaS, ERP, CRM and eCommerce solutions. Jas is passionate about diversity and education in construction and brings a unique understanding and viewpoint of construction technology as it applies and is being applied practically coast to coast.
Brandon Drewlo
President, Novacom Building Partners
As President of Novacom, Brandon is passionate about using construction as a platform to transform spaces, people, perceptions, and communities. Having grown up in the industry, he’s been exposed to many different roles; from site supervision, to project management, and now leading the company as President since 2014. His greatest purpose comes from building a team and culture where people are given an opportunity to grow and reach their full potential, and where they are known and valued as individuals. Brandon is always looking for ways to use his love for technology to improve the construction experience and make people’s lives better. He also leads Novacom’s Homes & Hope initiative, where each year he brings teams to El Salvador to build homes for those in need.
Kris Lengieza
Director of Business Development, Marketplace, Procore
Kristopher M. Lengieza, is the Director of Business Development, Marketplace at Procore Technologies. The marketplace team oversees the development of partnerships and integrations built upon the Procore platform. Kris has been a long time construction technology evangelist and continues to push the construction industry forward. Prior to working at Procore, Kris was the Vice President of Operational Excellence at Stiles Corporation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kris oversaw a team that leads many initiatives including Quality, Safety, Innovation, Training, VDC, and Financials. Kris has also been instrumental in the implementation of VDC, LEAN and LEED principles at several other companies over the course of his career. Kris has earned a multitude of awards for his work and has been nationally recognized as one of the top 40 construction professionals under 40 by ENR and BD&C. He is constantly seeking to further the use of technology and foster innovation in the construction industry. As such, Kris has been a sought-after speaker for national conferences including Autodesk University, BIMForum, Ecobuild, SPAR and many other regional events. More importantly, Kris is always willing to volunteer and share his knowledge and has taught for numerous organizations over the past 5 years, including AGC and AIA to name a few. Kris earned his Civil engineering degree in 2004, from Lehigh University.
